Write better anywhere
The MessageMediator extension underlines what you write, one paragraph at a time, in Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Slack, WhatsApp, Discord and almost any text box. Click a paragraph, choose More formal, More polite or More concise (any mix, or none for a perfect-grammar polish), then press Revise. Only that paragraph changes, right where you wrote it.
How it works
- Type as usual. Each paragraph gets its own subtle underline.
- Click a paragraph. A small box opens with three options.
- Press Revise. The paragraph is rewritten in place. Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z) undoes it.
Same MessageMediator guardrails
Perfect grammar every time, your meaning kept, nothing invented: no new facts, promises or admissions. Heated wording is calmed, never sharpened.
Private by design
Nothing is sent until you click Revise, and then only that one paragraph. We do not store your text. Password, payment and one-time-code fields are never read, banking and health sites are off by default, and you can switch any site off or pause everything. Read the extension privacy policy.
Free and paid
Free accounts get 5 revisions a day (up to 50 a month). With a MessageMediator plan or credit pack, each revision uses 1 credit from your balance, so a Plus plan covers hundreds of revisions a month. See plans.
Known limitations
- Google Docs, Sheets and Slides: Google Docs draws text on a canvas, so no extension can edit it in place. On Docs you get a small "Copy & revise" panel instead: paste a paragraph, revise, copy it back.
- Password, payment and code fields: Never read: password, credit card, one-time code, SSN and similar fields, and fields marked autocomplete="off".
- Banking and health sites: Off by default (banks, card issuers, payment apps, patient portals, insurers, tax and government sites). You can turn a site on yourself.
- Code editors and rich canvases: Code editors (Monaco, CodeMirror), Figma/Canva-style canvases, Word and PowerPoint online in canvas mode, and some games are skipped.
- Closed shadow DOM and cross-origin iframes: Editors inside closed shadow roots or sandboxed iframes we cannot reach are skipped.
- Unusual editors: Most editors (Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Slack, WhatsApp, Discord) accept the change like a paste. If an editor refuses it, nothing is changed and you see a message.
- One paragraph at a time: By design: Revise never changes more than the one paragraph you clicked.
